Eating Foods Cooked With Nylon Like Moi Moi? Wait And Read This. Very Important

Health they say is wealth. Anybody who is healthy is wealthy. There are people who are wealthy but they are not healthy. So if you are healthy and you are still buying foods cooked with nylon please hold on a bit and see the danger that you are causing to yourself.

So many of us are fond of eating meals cooked with nylon without knowing the health implications of doing this. This is common among people who are not married and little children. The former category mentioned will always complain that they don’t have much time to sit and gently prepare their own food then they resort to buying and eating food that are cooked with nylon. And for the latter, they are said to be young, innocent and ignorant of the health implication of what they are doing. Examples of food cooked from nylon which they buy and eat are Moi Moi, the locally made food eaten by the igbos called okpa, agidi which the yorubas call ekor etc. There are also people who are married that also make this same mistake, they use nylon in preparing most of these foods for the family.

Food cooked with nylon is very dangerous to the body because nylon itself is made from a chemical called hexamethylene diamine resulting from the reaction of dicarboxylic acid. This chemical is been transferred from the nylon into the food the moment it becomes hot inside the pot. You may not know the chemistry behind this but it is said that in every action, there is equal and opposite reaction to it.

It is advised that you stop cooking with nylon because it is also major cause of most cancer cases we have around us and it also causes other health problems like making us fall sick all the time and suffering from typhoid fever. Instead, the use of leaves for cooking such foods is advised and healthier.

I believe a word is enough for the wise. Let’s eat right and stay health.

Breaking – Nigeria set to cure the world from coronavirus

It is said that when the going gets tough, the tough gets going, and that is what Nigeria appears to be saying at this critical time corona virus holds the world in the jugular.

Our country is responding via the National Agency for Foods and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) the agency once headed by the late amazon of a crusader, Prof Dora Akunyili.

Recall how the woman fought cartels responsible for the importation and sale of fake drugs into the country to a logical conclusion before her glorious exit.

The latest is that NAFDAC says it has approved for production, pharmaceutical to commence clinical trials necessary to the curing of coronavirus.

That is a great leap in not only containing the pandemic, but also in the scientific and economic positioning of Nigerian in the comity of nations.

The agency said via a statement signed by its Director General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye the approval of the drug for more production to check the menace of coronavirus followed the recommendation by the United States National Agency for Food and Control.

And leading pharmaceutical company, May and Baker would be playing a role in this.

The statement quotes the DG as saying that the trial had become necessary given that coronavirus shared similar symptoms with malaria, which had remained a major threat to life and wellbeing in the country, and indeed the whole of the west coast.

The Eagle investigations shows thatMay and Baker was already working in line with a directive in the regard.

According to NAFDAC part of its responsibility was to ensure that Nigerian citizens had access to safe and essential medicines.

Aside May and Baker, the NAFDAC urged companies with capacity for chloroquine production to commence moves for necessary approval so as to make the drug available for public use.

“NAFDAC has approved chloroquine as a clinical trial for the treatment of coronavirus, directive has been given to May and Baker (M and B) to manufacture the drug in case it would be needed on emergency in the country”..

Competent sources, had, in the aftermatt of the virus, quoted doctors and hospitals as turning to tested antimalarial drugs to treat patients infected with the disease caused by the new coronavirus,.

This was in addition to reworking existing drugs therapies in a race to find effective treatments.

Also, the the President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced on 19 March that chloroquine (hydroxychloroquine/Plaquenil), a drug used to treat malaria and arthritis, had been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to be tested as a treatment for COVID-19.

Should Nigeria put its acts together, it would indeed make its impact in the dire efforts to find a solution to a global health and life risk.

US Prosecutors accuse Florida surgeon of stealing $26million from health insurers to fund his political ambitions in Ghana

US Prosecutors accuse Florida surgeon of stealing $26million from health insurers to fund his political ambitions in Ghana

A Florida surgeon, Dr Moses deGraft-Johnson has been charged by US prosecutors to the tune of $26million in healthcare fraud, after they found out he allegedly defrauded government and insurers with fake surgeries so as to fund his political ambition in his native Ghana.

A federal grand jury early this month unsealed a 58-count indictment alleging that Dr Moses falsely billed insurers, including Medicare and Medicaid, for work he did not perform.

US Prosecutors accuse Florida surgeon of stealing $26million from health insurers to fund his political ambitions in Ghana

According to the Federal Department of Health and Human Services investigations, deGraft-Johnson claimed to have performed over a five-year period more than 3,600 atherectomies and angioplasties, surgeries that were never performed.

‘He used his access to the hospital’s daily census to poach patients for his scheme to defraud, instructing his staff to cold call patients from the hospital so that he could use their presence to fraudulently bill health care programs,’ prosecutors said in court documents.

Prosecutors asked the judge to keep the doctor in custody as his long term goal was to be the president of Ghana suggesting he was a flight risk.

US Magistrate Judge Charles A Stampelos agreed and ordered deGraft-Johnson held until trial, set for March 23.

Johnson’s assets were freezed after Investigators said they looked into the doctor’s bank accounts and discovered at least $1.8million in international wire transfers to entities and associates in Ghana plus the fact that he has a relative who was the vice president of Ghana in the 80s.

‘He’s a wonderful doctor, and I will defend him vigorously,’ said William Bubsey, the attorney who represented deGraft-Johnson during Friday’s detention hearings, even though he isn’t sure he will represent Johnson when the main trial starts.

Bubsey also said the allegations against Johnson were false as the money he sent home was used to help poor people in Ghana and not for any political ambition.

Food poisoning: The riskiest foods that can easily make you sick

You won’t believe it’s not every food that is appealing to the eye and your sense of smell is necessarily healthy for consumption.Risky foods (Within Nigeria)Risky foods (Within Nigeria)

Surprisingly, some foods we love eating can turn out to be very poisonous and even lead to death in extreme situations.

Some organisms that are responsible for food poisoning are invisible and you therefore cannot tell if the food is indeed okay.

Here is a list of surprising foods that can make you dangerously ill:

Leafy vegetables

Green vegetables such as spinach, kales, and lettuce are enriched with nutrients that we all need. However, they can turn out to be dangerous depending on where they are grown.

They may pick pathogens from infected soil that will then cause food poisoning. Always ensure you wash your greens well before eating them or heat them to kill poisonous bacteria.

I know this got you by surprise and it got me too. We all love rice and it is a very good source of carbohydrates.

But then, eating left over rice is likely to cause you diarrhea, nausea or vomiting. While in the fields, rice picks Bacillus cereus which is a bacterium that survives even after cooking. The bacteria continue to multiply as the rice cools. As such, it is safest to eat your rice when it is still fresh and hot.

Soups and stews

Moist foods such as soups and stews are most likely to host toxin-producing spores that lead to illnesses. If you have any soup leftovers, store them properly and ensure you reheat them properly before eating them again. Heating will help kill any toxins that might have developed.

Milk is sweet and healthy until you take it raw and you regret ever taking it. To be on the safer side, always ensure you take pasteurized milk and other dairy products.

Animals may be infected with various diseases which is the reason pasteurization is necessary to kill any bad bacteria.

Who would think that chicken could be poisonous? Despite being a surface bacterium, Salmonella bacteria manages to get into the inside of chicken meat contaminating it all.

However, cooking it for up to 165 degrees ensures that the bacteria is killed. Refrigerating the leftovers immediately also prevents the bacteria from multiplying.

Did you know that chronic neck pain could be a symptom of HIV? Here are the early symptoms!

HIV typically has no symptoms, especially in the early stages but chronic neck pain can be a sign that something is gravely wrong.Did you know that chronic neck pain could be a symptom of HIV? Here are the early symptoms!Did you know that chronic neck pain could be a symptom of HIV? Here are the early symptoms!

In as little as two weeks to as long as three months, signs can occur in your body, which are reactions to an HIV infection.

If you have recently engaged in unprotected sex or shared an injectable needle with someone whose HIV status you cannot confirm, you should consider being tested for the HIV virus. An early HIV test is a good idea for your health, safety and benefit of others.

Many, but not all people who are infected, experience flu-like symptoms, sometimes described as the “worse flu ever.” There are between nine and sixteen different symptoms experienced by people living with HIV and AIDS.

Here are some of the most common, indicating early-stage HIV infection:

Fever: One of the first signs of an HIV infection can be a mild fever, up to about 102F/39C. At this point the virus is moving into the blood stream and starting to replicate in large numbers. You are highly contagious in the early stages of an HIV infection because the undetected, unchecked virus is making millions of copies of itself as it destroys cells your immune system uses to fight disease.

Swollen Lymph Nodes: Lymph nodes often become inflamed, or swollen, when the body is trying to fight an HIV infection. Major lymph nodes are located in the armpit, groin, and neck areas. Often, lymph nodes in the neck are involved, become tender and may be called “swollen glands.”

Lymph nodes are a part of your lymphatic system. This system plays an important role in your immune system. Lymph, a clear fluid that circulates throughout your body, is partly made of white blood cells that attack bacteria and viruses.

Lymph nodes are located in certain parts of the body, including your neck, groin, and armpits. They’re shaped like beans and measure no more than 2.5 centimetres long. Your lymph nodes are responsible for filtering lymph and producing mature immune cells.

Lymph nodes protect both your blood and immune system by:

Swollen lymph nodes may also be the first signs of an infection, including HIV.

Sore Throat: People living with HIV may have a chronic or recurring sore throat, and it’s not uncommon for people living with HIV and AIDS to develop thrush, an opportunistic, secondary infection. Candida is the fungus that causes thrush; flourishes when the immune system is compromised; is found in the mouth and throat; and contributes to difficult swallowing.

Rash: If a rash can’t be easily explained or treated and you have participated in high-risk behaviour, you should consider an HIV test. Rashes can occur anywhere on the skin but are often found on the trunk of the body. These rashes may or may not itch.

Fatigue: The inflammatory response generated by the besieged immune system can also cause tiredness, general listlessness and a lack of energy to do tasks you may consider normal or routine. Fatigue can be debilitating and occurs as both an early and later sign of HIV infection and AIDS.

Muscle and Joint Aches and Pains: Other common symptoms of infection include muscle ache and joint or body pain, rheumatic disease. These can be caused by the HIV infection alone or by other viruses or bacteria, and inflammation often accompanies.

Headache: This symptom can present itself as unrelenting headaches. They are often caused by low CD4 T-cell counts but may also be the result of infections, nervous system maladies or malignancies, HIV-related systemic disease and toxicity caused by medication. A new or severe headache should always be carefully checked out.

Diarrhea, vomiting and nausea: Many people with an early HIV infection develop nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and lack of appetite. This can be caused by fungal, bacterial, viral and parasitic infections, which overwhelm an already-compromised immune system. In some cases, these symptoms can also be a side effect to HIV medication.

Night sweats: Night sweats means sweating which soaks the bedding while sleeping and is not related to exercise. Night sweats can be a side-effect of a fever due to another infection in the body, such as the bacterial infection Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC), the fungal infection histoplasmosis or tuberculosis (TB).

No symptoms? Remember, a large amount of people are unaware of their infection and have experienced no signs of their illness.

The symptoms that accompany an HIV infection can last anywhere from a few days to several weeks. However, you cannot assume you have HIV from symptoms alone.

Each of these aliments can be caused by other illnesses too. The only certain way to know your HIV status is by getting an HIV test.

If you think you may have been exposed to HIV, regardless of whether you have experienced any symptoms, it is important to get tested as soon as possible.

Some people reuse their razors multiple times because they have no idea of its effect. It’s unhealthy to reuse razors. Sensitive skin tends to develop irritation after using a previously used razor.

3. Don’t shave dry skinShave creams are packed with skin-protecting lubricants [Byrdie]ByrdieShave creams are packed with skin-protecting lubricants [Byrdie]

Always use shave cream. Shave creams are packed with skin-protecting lubricants that help your razor glide across your face and can help hold in hydration as you shave. When the hair is hydrated, it swells and softens, allowing your razor to glide through the hair more easily. This can result in less tug and pull, less scraping on your skin, and less irritation.

4. Tread lightly

Getting overly aggressive with your razor is the fast track to razor burn. You can’t afford to rush off shaving. The skin on your body is sensitive. Shave with the grain and a slight amount of pressure to help avoid razor burn, irritation, and cuts.

After shaving, it’s advisable to wash the area with warm water, then cold water after and pat dry. Don’t rub it! Rubbing is just an invitation for disaster. Then apply the aftershave or moisturizer that contains Aloe Vera. It would soothe the area and prevent irritation.

Banana is one of nature’s sweetest foods-packed with a lot of surprising health benefits.

For most people, banana is only known for its great source of potassium. What is unknown is that banana can actually help combat depression, make you smarter, cure hangovers, relieve morning sickness, protect against kidney cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis, and blindness.

In addition, eating bananas could help lower blood pressure and reduce the risks of cancer and asthma as well,

Unarguably, these might seem too much to be true; but it is actually what it.

Here are some of the unimaginable health benefits of banana

1. Potassium

Although a lot of people know that bananas are very rich in potassium, they still cannot tell the importance of potassium to the human body.

Potassium, as a mineral, helps maintain fluid levels in the body and regulates the movement of nutrients and waste products in and out of cells.

It also helps in the contracting of muscles as well as the responding of nerve cells. It keeps the heart beating regularly and can reduce the effect of sodium on blood pressure.

Studies have also shown that potassium may reduce the risk of kidney stones.

2. Source of energy

Professional athletes will tell you that when it comes to dishing out energy, banana is king.

Two bananas, before a strenuous workout is enough to pack energy punch and sustain your blood sugar. Another interesting quality of banana is that it protects against muscle cramps during workouts and night time leg cramps as well.

3. Cures and protect against ulcer

Regular consumption of banana may help protect against stomach ulcers, because over time bananas thicken the protective mucus barrier in the stomach, which prevents damage from hydrochloric acid.

Banana is also known to contain protease inhibitors that help eliminate stomach bacteria which can cause stomach ulcers.

4. Treats hangover

If you were told that banana can actually get rid of the morning inconvenience that comes after the night groove, would you believe?

Well, you should; because a couple of bananas blended with ice, berries and coconut milk or cow’s milk makes a really good hangover recovery drink.

In as much as the better solution is not to drink so much the night before, it is advisable to have some bananas and coconut milk around to help you with the morning trouble just in case.

5. Combat depression

As funny as this may sound, it is actually true. Bananas help overcome depression due to high levels of tryptophan, which is converted into serotonin — the happy-mood brain neurotransmitter.

Eating banana also improves your mood and helps reduce PMS symptoms, which regulates blood sugar and produces stress-relieving relaxation.

6. Fights cancer

According to a recent Japanese animal research, bananas that are fully ripe (with dark spots) have been observed to produce a compound called TNF–a.

TNF–a, on the other hand, is a cytokine that is believed to have the potential to increase white blood cell count. This, in return, helps enhance our immunity and combat cancerous cell changes.

7. It improves digestion

How many of us know the importance of fiber? Do we even know that fiber is needed to help food travel smoothly through the digestive tract and also improves our bowel movement?

Well, banana is a great source of dietary fiber, which means they help improve digestion.
