Diamond Ball Photo Round-Up: Rihanna, YG & Kehlani, Cardi B, 21 Savage

The fashion world has barely had time to recover from Rihanna ‘s ultra-secretive Savage x Fenty New York Fashion Week runway show, but there’s no time to rest for the Barbadian superstar. The charitable Diamond Ball was in full swing on Thursday evening at New York City’s Cipriani Wall Street venue. Seth Meyers acted as the emcee as DJ Khaled and Pharrell Williams blessed the audience with performances. At this year’s event, Rihanna and the Diamond Ball officials honored two people: Mia Mottley, the Prime Minister of Barbados and Shaun King, a civil and social activist.

There were plenty of celebrities in attendance who showed up in their finest. Cardi B and her sister Hennessy Carolina were glammed up on the red carpet along with “Motivation” singer Normani, Fever rapper Megan Thee Stallion, A$AP Ferg and A$AP Rocky, G-Eazy and his girlfriend Yasmin Wijnaldum, happy couple YG and Kehlani, Meek Mill, 21 Savage, 2 Chainz, and Pharrell along with his wife Helen Lasichanh. An excited DJ Khaled walked the carpet with his wife, Nicole Tuck, who showed off her baby bump.

Check out a few photos from the fifth annual Diamond Ball below and watch the moment when Rihanna hit the stage with Pharrell to perform their hit track “Lemon.”

The star then continued to perform the show in a hairnet as fans battled it out for the hairpiece.

Fans soon joked that the rapper can kiss goodbye to seeing her wig again as it’ll likely go up for auction on eBay.

Another wrote: “You not getting cardi wig back Tokyo someone gonna sell it on eBay! Whoever is selling it cashapp me some of the profit I’m tryna see something.”

One eBay user, who claims to be a concert-goer at last night’s gig, is attempting to flog the hairpiece on the auction site for £11,000 – however fans have questioned it’s authenticity.

Cardi B Forced To Cancel Concerts Due To Surgery

Cardi B has canceled the rest of her concerts this month as a result of her plastic surgery procedures but will be back on stage in June.

Her publicist in a statement said, “Cardi was overzealous in getting back to work. She didn’t take the time necessary to fully recover. Her strenuous schedule has taken a toll on her body and now has been given strict doctors orders to pull out the rest of her performances in May.”

TMZ also reports that the rapper backed out of Baltimore’s 92Q Spring Bling Festival this Friday because of some serious fallout from her recent cosmetic surgeries.

Earlier this month, Cardi confessed to getting liposuction after daughter Kulture’s birth, and told fans during a show in Memphis at the time, “I shouldn’t really be performing because moving too much is gonna f—k up my lipo.”

She also admitted to getting a second breast augmentation and said sometimes she doesn’t feel her best. “I just got my boobs redone,” Cardi told “Entertainment Tonight” on May 1. “I feel good, but then sometimes I feel like not, you know? [When] your skin is stretched out.”
